JASSIM AL SADDAH

Jassim AlSaddah is a Kuwait-based architect who obtained his diploma (RIBA 11). at the Architectural Association (AA) in London summer of 2008. Following this, Jassim took part in internships in London and Kuwait as well as freelancing as a graphic artist and an architect for small-scale projects. In 2010, Jassim established Babnimnim Design Studio (BNN) whose main objective is to create fully developed projects emphasizing a focus on design details and branding simultaneously, from conception to completion. BNN has just recently celebrated its 12th anniversary with a plethora of projects completed, ranging from residential, restaurant, and commercial projects within Kuwait and the GCC region.

Jassim also established Mirzam Manifesto (MiMa) with Anas Alomaim back in 2009. Which is an art and design initiative that works on creating a brief with an aesthetic purpose in order to culminate to an exhibition as an end result. MiMa has already done 5 main exhibitions based on different briefs, last one being the collaborative exhibit in CAP named ‘Class of Chairs 2013.’

Jassim has many interests beyond architecture, one being furniture design where he will soon launch a high-end carpet collection with Samovar Carpets. Also, under development a furniture line that is inspired by local objects with a main goal to highlight the region’s design aesthetic and capabilities.
